When is Deep Focus Mode coming to Android?

We’re testing it now with beta users! We plan to release it to everyone by Friday, August 1st.

Why does Deep Focus Mode on iOS keep apps shut off too long?

There's a bug we’re fixing by August 1st. In the meantime:

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap Screen Time

3. Turn Focus Friend Screen Time access off, then back on
   That should restore your apps!

Can the music play when the app is closed?

Not yet, but we’re working on it! It’s a popular request, so we hope to have it in the next few weeks.

Why does Focus Friend have a subscription?

We chose a subscription model so we could build Focus Friend in a way that is:

• Ad-free

• Privacy-first (we don’t collect or sell your personal data)

• Artist-supported: Every song, illustration, and animation is made by independent artists who were paid fairly

• Sustainable: This app was built with love by one full-time developer (Bria), with no outside funding

Why Can’t I Find Focus Friend on the Play Store?

Focus Friend is available for all Android devices running Android 11 or later. We are currently looking into making it available for Android 7 and beyond. Please check back to see if this update is released!
